Shandan Giant Buddha Temple is located in Shandan County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province. It was formerly known as Tu Buddhist Temple and was built in the Northern Wei Dynasty.

After several generations, the temple was repeatedly damaged and rebuilt.

It is worth mentioning that the temple has a 35-meter-high sitting Buddha and is wearing a dragon robe robes.

The whole body of the sitting Buddha is painted in gold, and the face, hands, feet, and chest are all covered with gold. The posture is graceful, with a sense of majesty, kindness and solemnity.
