Newspaper reveals why Bill Gates resigned from Microsoft

The "Wall Street Journal" reported that Bill Gates' resignation from the presidency of the "Microsoft" group was linked to a relationship considered "inappropriate" with an employee of the company dating back to the beginning of the first decade of the twenty-first century.

The founder of Microsoft stepped down from managing the group, which he founded in 1975, in March 2020.

"The members of the (Microsoft) board of directors decided in 2020 that Gates should step down from the board while they were conducting an investigation into a relationship that the billionaire had with a Microsoft employee that was deemed inappropriate."

The newspaper quoted a spokeswoman for Bill Gates as saying, "It is a relationship that dates back 20 years and ended in a friendly way."

She added, "Gates’s decision to step down from the (Microsoft) Board of Directors is not related in any way to this issue. Rather, the decision came as a result of Gates’s desire to devote himself to his charitable work in the (Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation)."

A Microsoft spokesman confirmed to the French press that the group was informed at the end of 2019 that “Bill Gates sought to establish an intimate relationship with a female employee in the company for the year 2000. A committee of the Board of Directors looked into the problem with the help of an external party, a law firm, to conduct a comprehensive investigation. ».

This engineer stated, in a letter, that she had a sexual relationship with Bill Gates "for years", according to "The Wall Street Journal," which indicated that Gates resigned before the conclusion of this investigation.

The Wall Street Journal published a report last week, citing documents and people familiar with the matter, stating that Melinda Gates began divorce proceedings from Bill in 2019, after she had concerns about his dealings with Epstein, as Melinda spoke with lawyers from Several companies say their marriage to Bill has been "irreversibly shattered."
