A selection of the Blues analyzed and justified

The 1998 world champion will explain the choices he has made.

They should come as little surprise to football fans.

"Didier Deschamps does not like changes and surprises, it is not his type," analysis at the microphone of Europe 1 the TF1 sports journalist Nathalie Ianetta.

"There might be a surprise or two, but there won't be 50."

The journalist will take advantage of this short interview to make the coach express "his choices, analyze them, make them understood, and perhaps justify himself on a name or two".

"We will try to understand what type of team he takes with him, and for what ambition," she announces.

"An interview conducted by two women, it is not yet natural"

So many questions that Nathalie Iannetta will ask alongside her colleague Marie Portolano. Two women sports journalists therefore, which is still rare enough to be underlined, in a still very masculine environment and regularly denounced in recent months for its sexism. But this duo is not the sign of confirmed progress, according to Nathalie Ianetta.

"If it was real progress, the question would not arise. It will be real progress when the kind of journalists who interview a coach will no longer be a subject," said the journalist. "We must not lie to each other: no, it is not yet natural. But it is a strong sign, it is important and it is a new step which has been taken. The main thing is to moving forward." The interview with Didier Deschamps by Nathalie Iannetta and Marie Portolano will be broadcast Tuesday evening at 8:20 p.m. on TF1 and M6. Euro matches will be broadcast on TF1, M6 and BeIn sports.
