Hamas in Gaza and Israel have been in conflict for 8 days with rockets and bombings on each other.

The death toll is over 200 in this new war has its roots in East Jerusalem, the part occupied by Israel.

The Holy City seems to be an insurmountable sticking point between Israelis and Palestinians.
