The accumulated incidence this Monday stands at

151 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days

in the national territory. According to data released by Health, the whole of Spain is about to leave the 'high risk' area and enter the 'medium risk' area (incidence equal to or less than 150). On Friday it was at 162.03 and last Monday at 188.97.

"We still cannot assure that the large concentrations do not have an impact on the evolution of the epidemic," Fernando Simón assured in his appearance before the media. The director of the Center for the Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies has once again highlighted the role of vaccination in the control of the pandemic. "We are increasing the percentage of the immunized population by almost 1% daily," he reported, so that, as he said, "it is relatively easy to calculate when we will reach an immunity of 70%."

Despite this, he has called for caution, detailing that

vaccination does not automatically equal total protection

.

"There is still a percentage of people with their complete guideline who are not protected," he recalled, referring to the fact that the efficacy of vaccines is not 100%.

"Of those seven million, there are 700,000 people who, although they have been vaccinated, have not developed immunity," the director of CCAES has warned.

Although the data for this Monday are not complete because those of Castilla-la Mancia are missing, the epidemiologist has conveyed a certain optimism.

"We are taking big steps, the evolution is going very well, an incidence of 151 and in almost all the communities going down," he emphasized.

Simón

has refused to give forecasts of specific dates for the relaxation of the measures

. "We have good coverage, but we still do not have the one that would allow us a herd immunity, we are going to call it community, which allows us to still relax personal protection measures," he warned.

Asked about when the masks and other measures will be able to relax, Fernando Simón has replied that "it is not good to give dates". But it has advanced that "in a month, we will be in figures that put us in a very favorable situation for the reduction of some measures, some of them even earlier, as long as they are not all reduced", he has weighed. "It is possible that outdoors, in not many days, they can already be reduced (the masks)," he has advanced. But again he has made a warning: "Let us not fall into false assurances either."

He also explained that not all the measures can be lifted at the same time: "We cannot think that, if we leave the masks, we can stop maintaining the physical distance," he has given as an example.

"The steps are going to be taken. I would not like to give the idea that at a certain moment it ends."

The director of the CCAES has also suggested that

some autonomous communities could start taking measures before others,

according to their better health situation: "There are still important differences (between communities) that must be considered when making decisions" .

11,061 new infections and 93 deaths from coronavirus during the weekend

In addition to the reduction in incidence to 14 days to 151.82 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the same seven-day indicator goes from 70.09 on Friday to 65.25 cases that marks this Monday, which seems to anticipate further decreases.

The data reported this afternoon by the Ministry of Health register 11,061 new infections, which should be distributed between the three days of the weekend.

In the past, the increase was 13,984, but it must be taken into account that this Monday's update does not include, for computer reasons, the figures for Castilla - La Mancha.

With the infections now added to the statistics, there are already 3,615,860 people with confirmed infection by diagnostic test in Spain.

Health also registers 93 new deaths from Covid-19 compared to 103 last weekend.

The official number of fatalities from the pandemic in our country now stands at 79,432.

Of the total confirmed deaths, 171 correspond to the last week.
