Chinanews.com, Hong Kong, May 17 (Reporter Wang Jiacheng) On May 17, the Hong Kong District Court started a trial on an illegal assembly that occurred in October of the previous year.
The 10 defendants included Chen Haohuan, Li Zhuoren, Liang Guoxiong, He Junren, Yang Sen, He Xiulan, Wu Wenyuan, Li Zhiying, Shan Zhongkai and Cai Yaochang, who were accused of organizing and knowingly participating in an unauthorized assembly on October 1, 2019.
All 10 people pleaded guilty to a crime of unapproved assembly of an organization, and some pleaded guilty to participation.
Chen Haohuan, Li Cheuk-ren, Leung Kwok-hung and Ho Chun-jen were also charged with inciting others to participate in an unauthorized assembly outside the Central Court of Final Appeal on September 30, 2019. They also pleaded guilty.
