[Concurrent] Wheelchair dancer Lin Haoqin

Because of dance, it can make me more confident and cheerful. In fact, many things can't be achieved without saying how your body is.

[Explanation] When the music in the dance studio sounded, Lin Haoqin slowly raised his head, only to see that his waist was straight, his eyes focused, and his arms moved quickly to the melody.

Inadvertently, his hands have changed the angle of the wheelchair and started a new movement.

Lin Haoqin, who suffers from congenital clubfoot inversion, is a member of the Guangzhou Wheelchair Dance Team. He has won the 2018 National Wheelchair Dance Competition and the 2019 10th National Disabled Games Wheelchair Dance Competition gold medals.

Now, he is training hard for the 11th National Games for the Disabled in 2021.

[Explanation] Before coming to study at the Guangdong Peiying Vocational and Technical School (hereinafter referred to as "Peiying Vocational School") in Guangzhou, Lin Haoqin seldom interacted with others and had not touched a wheelchair.

The one who took him into the wheelchair dance world was Cai Gao, the head of the dance project of the Guangzhou International Cultural Exchange Center for the Disabled.

[Explanation] Cai Gao often sits in a wheelchair and choreographs dances in order to feel the characteristics and movement rules of the wheelchair.

She often tells students to show themselves by relying on the strength of the waist and upper limbs and the tricks of the wheelchair, and at the same time make good use of their facial expressions.

First of all, we must first sit in a wheelchair to feel its characteristics, as well as wheelchair dance wheelchairs, their movement patterns and movement rules, we must first feel.

In a wheelchair, it is not only for moving arms, it also has some directions and shapes that can be created.

Come, find the teacher's hand, my hand is here.

Come, (waist) back, back again.

[Commentary] Lin Haoqin said that before starting wheelchair dance learning, he followed Mr. Cai Gao to Shanghai to watch a national standard dance competition for able-bodied people. The dance scene deeply infected him and made him feel novel and excited.

After I went there, I felt very excited, especially excited. The atmosphere, the live lighting, and the music are all very exciting.

Since then, I have been more determined to choose wheelchair dancing.

[Explanation] After the visit, they officially started dance training.

The preliminary basic training is hard and boring, and he has indeed been confused and wants to give up.

Thinking of that stage, Lin Haoqin was grateful to the teachers who helped him.

At first, it was very tiring. From the very beginning, the problem of body stiffness requires several lessons to adjust.

At that time, we would lead the team in the morning, the other students were still resting, and we went to the morning exercise before getting up.

(Dance class) We go to self-study in the evening, and sometimes we still go to it after class is over.

It is true that when I have experienced confusion, I feel very boring when I am practicing basics, and I have also thought about giving up.

But at this time, Teacher Cai and the others will come up with some new things, such as teaching you some new routines.

There is also teacher Muzi, who will communicate with her when she has something to do. After you have said it, she will help you untie some thoughts and knots.

[Explanation] Lin Haoqin received formal training for just three months, and the teachers asked him to participate in the national competition.

He created a "miracle" for the first time in the competition and won the "Double Chair Championship"; for Lin Haoqin, he gained more confidence from dancing than the championship.

Everyone can win the championship. The first point is that you must have confidence in yourself, and you must have this.

[Explanation] Although he has graduated, Lin Haoqin often goes back to school to give dance lessons to the juniors and sisters. His experience has strengthened the confidence of the juniors and sisters in learning dance.

Huang Ming, an active student of the dance team, told reporters that when he first learned to dance because he wanted to be "playful" and wanted to try, he changed himself in the process of dancing, and now he has slowly fallen in love with it.

I sit like this when I usually sit, and after practicing wheelchair dancing, I will stand upright, which is a kind of spirit to show people.

At the same time, it made me like dancing. I am also confident that I can become like a senior and can stand on the national stage to perform for everyone.

[Explanation] Learning wheelchair dance not only allowed Lin Haoqin to master a talent, but also changed his life subtly.

He shared his short story during the interview with reporters.

During the interview, I went to the interview with them just so tall and straight. When they saw it in front of the interviewer, the first thing they saw was this posture and the state was different from other people. There was a contrast.

[Explanation] Lin Haoqin nowadays is no longer reticent, and looks more optimistic and cheerful. He often encourages students to learn to be self-reliant.

There are many other people like Lin Haoqin who have become confident by learning wheelchair dancing.

Self-reliance is the first, and the second is not to treat yourself as a special group, you really don’t have to do anything, you must communicate with others more, get in touch with others, and open your heart.

In fact, after contacting them (sound people), you will find something different, and then you will feel that the disabled have nothing to do, they are human beings, and they are equal to them, and they are as capable as we are.
