After the traffic jams on the outward journey, Wednesday and Thursday, motorists leaving for the Ascension Bridge may still be running at a walk.

The road back looks complicated, this Sunday, Bison Futé having classified all of France in red.

Bison Futé advised motorists to take to the road as soon as possible, recommending in particular to "return to or cross Ile-de-France and the major cities before 11 am".

Leave early or very late

For Ile-de-France residents, Bison Futé advises to avoid "the A13 motorway, between Caen and Paris, from 10 am to 7 pm".

Between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., the A11 between Angers and Le Mans should be loaded.

The organization also recommends avoiding "the A10 motorway, between Bordeaux and Poitiers, from 11 am to 7 pm and the A11 motorway, between Angers and Le Mans, from 12 pm to 7 pm".

Traffic will also be dense in eastern France and in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Bison Futé recommends “not to take the A6 motorway, between Beaune and Auxerre, from 3 pm to 7 pm, the A6 motorway, between Mâcon and Beaune, from 12 pm to 7 pm and the A7 motorway”.

Traffic will be heavy on the A43 motorway, between Chambéry and Lyon, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and on the A48 motorway, between Grenoble and Lyon, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In the South, Bison Futé advises to avoid the A7 motorway, between Orange and Lyon, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and that between Marseille and Salon-de-Provence, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Between Montpellier and Narbonne, traffic will be heavy from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., as between Spain and Narbonne, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The organization warns: “Avoid the A61 motorway, between Narbonne and Toulouse, from 11 am to 7 pm.
