A training session was held in Kobe City to ask dentists, who were allowed to vaccinate against the new coronavirus, to check the procedure.

Kobe City is requesting the cooperation of the city's dentist association to complete the inoculation of about 430,000 elderly people by the end of July.

Training was required in advance to take charge of vaccination, and about 70 dentists participated in the training held in Chuo-ku, Kobe.

Participants learned from doctors at city health centers to pierce the needle of a syringe vertically into their arms and to check for pain or numbness during inoculation, and practiced with a model that resembled a human arm. ..

After the training, the participants were vaccinated with each other.

Kobe City will set up a large-scale venue from the 25th of this month, and plans to inoculate up to 2000 people a day.

Approximately 350 dentists, including this one, will be responsible for vaccination at this venue after the training.

A 50-year-old dentist who received training said, "I haven't had an injection in my arm for a long time, but I was able to calm down.

Hiroyuki Hanada, director of the Kobe City Health Bureau, said, "I want to protect medical care in Kobe and reduce the number of people who die. I want dentists to cooperate."
