At 20:39 on May 14, a tornado broke out in the Xishan area of Caidian District and the Junshan area of Wuhan Economic Development Zone.
The Wuhan Fire Rescue Detachment dispatched 14 fire rescue stations with 33 vehicles, 178 people, and 7 search and rescue dogs to participate in the on-site disposal; at the same time, it mobilized 20 vehicles and 100 people on standby.
After arriving at the scene, all personnel were searched and rescued by a combination of manpower, search and rescue dogs, demolition kits and life detectors.
According to statistics, as of 4:30 on the 15th, 6 people died and 218 were injured due to the disaster; 85 houses collapsed in 27 households, 400 houses in 130 houses were damaged, 2 tower cranes, and 8000 square meters temporary work sheds were damaged.
