On May 14, the People's Government of Shengze Town, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province notified on the evening of the 14th that around 19:00 on the same day, parts of Shengze Town were affected by a tornado, and local power facilities and many houses were damaged.
According to preliminary statistics, the disaster caused 1 death, 2 serious injuries, and 19 minor injuries. They have been sent to hospital for treatment.

The reporter saw that many trees along the main roads have fallen down, the metal fence structure on the building has been seriously deformed, and the cordon has been pulled up in some areas.
It is understood that Suzhou Fire has mobilized a total of 16 fire brigades, 35 fire trucks, 197 fighters and 2 search and rescue dogs.
After the disaster, various departments have fully carried out rescue operations, and power supply has been restored in some areas with outages.
The order on the scene has basically returned to stability.
