In a letter to the prefect of Tarn Catherine Ferrier, the mayor of Mazamet Olivier Fabre assures us that such a measure would constitute "a strong signal for the resumption of economic, tourist and social activities" and would also be "the reward for the efforts made since then. fourteen months ”.

For the elected various right, engaged alongside the presidential majority for the regional elections, it is a "common sense measure in view of the low risk of contamination for people already vaccinated" and which has "already been adopted in many countries in Europe and in the world ”. Americans vaccinated against Covid-19 no longer need to wear a mask indoors, said health authorities on Thursday, who however recommend continuing to wear it in transport (planes, buses, trains, etc.) as well as in airports and train stations.

Currently, approximately 35% of the American population, or more than 117 million people, have received the necessary dose (s) of vaccine.

Prime Minister Jean Castex, traveling in the Gers, for his part urged the French on Friday to "hold on" to the health front before the arrival of "many doses in June" and the imminent crossing of the 20 million threshold. vaccinated.
