A huge temperature display board that displays the temperature in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, which is known for its harsh heat, was installed before the arrival of summer.

Kumagaya City is known for its harsh summer heat, with the highest temperature of 41.1 degrees in Japan in July, three years ago.

On the 14th, before the arrival of summer, a huge temperature display board with a height of about 4 meters was installed in front of a local department store in the image of a thermometer.

The temperature display board has a scale of up to 45 degrees, and the staff of the department store displays the temperature observed by the Kumagaya Local Meteorological Observatory at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, which is also a symbol of Kumagaya's summer.

On the display board, in addition to the temperature, notes such as "Be careful of heat stroke caused by the mask" are also written.

Kumagaya City on the 14th was sunny and warm from the morning, and the temperature at 11:00 am was displayed as 24.3 degrees Celsius.

A woman in her 40s who saw the display board said, "When I see this, I feel that the summer in Kumagaya has begun. It's still hot in May, so I want to be careful not to get heat stroke by awning." I did.
