When they get involved in a cause, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra don't do things by halves.
The two stars, who got married in India, the actress' homeland, announced that they had raised funds to the tune of one million dollars to help populations affected by Covid-19.
The Priyanka Chopra Jonas Foundation has teamed up with the charity Give India to fund, among other things, the purchase of oxygen, tests and start vaccination centers.
“Thank you for your massive support.
Thanks to the combined efforts of more than 14,000 donors around the world, we have achieved our goal of raising $ 1 million to support the Indian people in their fight against the Covid-19 crisis, ”Nick Jonas said on Twitter as fundraising has passed the million mark.
Such a success that the star couple now want to go further and set a new goal: three million dollars, as they both announced. “Through some of the darkest days in our history, humanity has once again proven that we are better united (…) The money raised has already been deployed across the country in the form of oxygen concentrators, vaccines and much more. We can all continue to help, so let's not stop there, ”pleaded Priyanka Chopra.
