Yi Lianhong, deputy secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and governor of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, revealed at the meeting that Jiangxi will open up the comprehensive transportation artery with the Greater Bay Area and strive to build a three-hour commute circle with Hong Kong and Macau.

　　[Explanation] Yi Lianhong said that the Pan-Pearl River Delta region is one of the most dynamic regions in China, and Jiangxi belongs to the Pan-Pearl River Delta region along with Hong Kong and Macau.

It can be said that Jiangxi is an important economic hinterland in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

　　In the past few years, we have made full use of the important platform of the "9+2" Pan-Pearl River Delta to promote cooperation and exchanges with Hong Kong and Macau in various aspects such as economy, trade and culture. The achievements we have achieved are very obvious.

From 2002 to now, it has been to Hong Kong to carry out economic and trade cooperation and exchange activities every year for 18 consecutive years.

In terms of attracting investment, Hong Kong and Macau have become our main source of projects and funds.

In 2020, more than 74% of newly-added foreign-invested enterprises are from Hong Kong and Macau, and more than 76% of the actual use of foreign capital is also from Hong Kong and Macau.

　　[Explanation] Yi Lianhong introduced that from the perspective of trade cooperation, Hong Kong and Macau, especially Hong Kong, have always been Jiangxi's important trading partners.

　　Hong Kong is Jiangxi's second largest export market.

Last year, our total import and export trade with Hong Kong reached more than 33 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%.

In the first quarter of this year, our total import and export trade with Hong Kong increased by 48.48% year-on-year.

In terms of logistics, we have actively expanded the logistics channels with Hong Kong and Macau, and opened rail-sea intermodal trains to Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

　　[Explanation] Yi Lianhong pointed out that Jiangxi will give full play to its own advantages, deeply promote facility connectivity, industrial integration, and complementary advantages, and continuously improve the level and level of cooperation between Jiangxi, Hong Kong and Macao.

We will deepen scientific and technological innovation cooperation with Hong Kong and Macau, attract more high-end R&D and incubators to set up headquarters or branches in Jiangxi, and enhance Jiangxi's collaborative innovation capabilities.
