The Community Development Authority cooperated with the Department of Finance of the Government of Dubai to provide the basic household needs and furnishings of a number of senior citizens registered in the “Waleef” program, which contributed to bringing happiness to their hearts and making them feel the joy of Eid.
The Finance Department provided 100 thousand dirhams to provide these needs from a number of the authority's partners in a treasury card for senior citizens, after inspection visits conducted by the caregivers of the Community Development Authority and the social responsibility team in the Department of Finance, to the homes of a number of senior citizens, and an inventory of basic needs Needed for them.
The Director of the Senior Citizens Department at the Community Development Authority, Maryam Al Hammadi, stated that the corporate community contributions affect the psychological and moral support of senior citizens, integrating them into various social and religious events, and empowering them by providing for their various needs.
She added: “The (Waleef) program provides home care for senior citizens who live alone in the Emirate of Dubai, and although the caregivers in the Community Development Authority communicate with them on a daily basis, the external contributions affect the strengthening of their psychological support, and make them feel that they are part of the activities that he lives. the society".
وقال رئيس مكتب الاتصال والإعلام في دائرة المالية، حسين علي الطنيجي، إن «الدائرة دعمت من خلال مبادرة (درهم الخير) الاحتياجات المنزلية لكبار المواطنين المسجلين في برنامج وليف». موضحاً أن هذه الاحتياجات سُلّمت إلى مستحقيها قبل حلول عيد الفطر، بالتعاون مع هيئة تنمية المجتمع.
يذكر أن مبادرة «درهم الخير»، التي أطلقتها وترعاها دائرة المالية، تتيح مجال التبرّع أمام المتعاملين مع مختلف الجهات الحكومية ممن يسددون الرسوم الحكومية عبر بوابة «سداد دبي»، وتطبيق «دبي الآن»، وذلك بالتعاون مع دائرة دبي الذكية، ويمكن للمتعاملين مع الجهات الحكومية، ممّن يسدّدون رسوم المعاملات الحكومية وغير الحكومية عبر البوابة أو التطبيق، التبرّع بالمبلغ الذي يحددونه قبل انتهاء عملية السداد، وقد تجاوز إجمالي التبرعات التي جُمعت من خلال المبادرة في ثلاث سنوات حتى منتصف عام 2020 الماضي أربعة ملايين و83 ألف درهم.
