07.07 Madrid keeps fourteen basic health zones confined Madrid
The Community of Madrid has established restrictions on mobility, starting at zero hours on Monday, in fourteen basic health areas, with a high incidence of
coronavirus
.
The fourteen confined areas have 351,776 inhabitants, representing 5.2% of the total in the region and concentrating 6.4% of
coronavirus
cases
in the last fourteen days.
Given the new situation generated by the end of the state of alarm, the Community of Madrid requested the endorsement of the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid for restrictions on mobility in basic health areas with a high number of infections.
For now, the TSJM has given the go-ahead to confine the basic health areas of Daroca and Vicente Muzas, in the Ciudad Lineal and Hortaleza districts of the capital, and Las Cities (Getafe), Las Rozas (Las Rozas) and Reyes Católicos (San Sebastián de los Reyes).
In addition to the five sanitary zones already endorsed by the justice, the perimeter closure will affect the basic areas of Ghandi (Ciudad Lineal), General Fanjul (Latina), Castelló (Salamanca), Barajas (Barajas), until zero hours on Monday 17th. Chopera (Arganzuela), Las Margaritas (Getafe), Majadahonda (Majadahonda) and La Princesa (Móstoles).
And Leganés Norte (Leganés) is incorporated as a new confined area, with restricted mobility until zero hours on Monday, May 24.
The TSJM has supported the measures in the five health zones cited by considering, in view of the data on the spread of covid-19, that it is a measure "necessary and suitable for the purpose pursued, which is none other than avoiding the greater spread to other areas of a highly contagious disease ".
