The Sharjah Heritage Institute, Khorfakkan Branch, recently organized a session entitled "Ramadan Zaman", which hosted heritage researcher Fatima Al-Mughni, researcher and poet Abdullah Al-Hamour.

The session, moderated by Maryam Allai, focused on the aesthetics of the month of Ramadan and the customs and traditions associated with it in the past.

The director of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, Khorfakkan Branch, Khaled Al Shehhi, said: “The (Ramadan Zaman) session comes within the agenda of the institute that covers various practical, field, academic, scientific and knowledge fields, as the Sharjah Heritage Institute is keen to be present in the holy month through activities, programs and activities that suit Ramadan, and the purpose of it has been achieved to provide a value of heritage knowledge to the followers, attendees and the new generation, in a way that contributes to emphasizing the role and efforts of the institute in order to preserve, preserve and transmit heritage for generations.

He pointed out that the session met with remarkable interaction from the attendees and participants, who formed an added value to the information that the Ramadan session dealt with, through their interventions and questions.

Fatima Al-Mughni shed light on the value and nature of customs and traditions that prevailed in Ramadan, their beauty, how social life was in those days, and the extent of communication and interaction of people with each other.

Abdullah Al-Hamour also reviewed the general literary, poetic and heritage scene, which was present in Ramadan at the time, and how the Ramadan evening sessions turned into open seminars and stations for knowledge, knowledge and vital interaction among all.
