The gendarmes put an end to a big party organized in a large house in Binic-Etables-sur-Mer (Côtes d'Armor) in the night from Saturday to Sunday.

Alerted by neighbors who informed them of an influx of people, the police discovered that around 200 people were participating in a clandestine party.

According to the Côtes d'Armor prefecture, the house in which the party was taking place had been rented on the Le Bon Coin site.

A majority of the participants fled when the 25 gendarmes arrived.

The latter still had time to verbalize 60 people for violations of the health rules in force to fight against the Covid-19 epidemic.

According to investigators, most of the participants came from Brittany.

An appeal had been launched on social networks and access to the site was chargeable, as was the alcohol which was served inside.

The two organizers suspected in police custody

The gendarmes seized the sound equipment and alcohol as well as 800 euros.

The two individuals suspected of being the organizers of the clandestine party were arrested and placed in police custody.

They are liable to be prosecuted for covert work, noise pollution, non-compliance with the provisions governing musical festive gatherings, deliberate endangering of the lives of others.

A rave party bringing together 500 people was organized in the same department last week, forcing the police to intervene.

The prefecture recalls that the spread of Covid-19 is not under control in the Côtes d'Armor.

"The health situation is improving in the department but remains fragile".

The incidence rate is 112.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which remains well below the national average.
