At 52, Nikos Aliagas is used to having the spotlight on him ... But as a photographer, he disappears behind his lens.

“

It is not, because I have done 25 years of television, that, in my head, I must have as cash that I am known, therefore people know me, that I have to behave as such.

It does not mean anything.

 "

These 35 black and white photos celebrate Parisian women, whether they are unknown, like a second-hand bookseller or an old lady on the terrace of a café, or famous, like the academician and philosopher Barbara Cassin.

Nikos always keeps his camera with him.

“

All the time.

Even with the iPhone sometimes I take pictures.

It's permanent projection, telling about people's lives through what I feel.

There I entered as a photographer

"

The host and journalist captures these women in the setting that is Paris, with the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower in the background.

He also wanted to pay tribute to the nursing staff as these nurses seized during a break.

“

We went from laughing to

: 'You want to do TV' 'Yes, 50'inside' [on TF1].

She winnowed me a bit, she heckled me a bit, nicely.

I didn't speak.

It made them a little uncomfortable.

There, I saw a moment of truth.

And there, I entered as a photographer, tac, tac ...

 "

Whether nurses, florists, hairdressers, booksellers or writers and sportswomen, Nikos Aliagas pays homage to all Parisians.
