Ramadan series, despite the approaching end of the holy month, are still struggling to survive and continue, as they face problems from more than one side, including evaluations from official bodies, communications by the Attorney General, and complaints from unions and responsible parties against some actions.

The legal pursuit against some acts and serials did not stop, and the matter sometimes reached the judiciary and the Office of the Public Prosecutor, as some submitted reports to the Public Prosecutor, and the series "Kings of Jadaanah" was one of the series that fell within the range of criticism and attack, and was chased by some legal cases. Ashraf Nagy issued an official communication to the Public Prosecutor against him, calling for his suspension and referring the complainant (the series crew) to trial, for their incitement to non-compliance with the laws, embellishing the commission of crimes, disturbing security and public peace, and publishing false news and statements about Egyptian society.

And he considered that the series depicts Egyptian society as full of gangs and thuggery, which causes panic among people and leads to a bear of terror in their hearts.

Problematic scene

Muhammad Ramadan was also on a date because of the series "Musa" with the reports. Lawyer Samir Sabri submitted a report to the Attorney General against the hero of the work, because of the scene that caused a great confusion, and a representative appeared in it who embodies the character of the late artist Ismail Yassin, and that he does not pay the price of what he buys. Some considered him mocking the late great artist.

Because of the scene, the lawyer, Samir Sabry, accused Mohamed Ramadan of insulting the deceased.

Likewise, poet and screenwriter Ayman Bahjat Qamar filed a complaint against the artist, Mohamed Ramadan, to the Artists Syndicate, for the same reason, and despite Ramadan presenting a scene attached to the series after the crisis, in which he confirms that the person who embodies Ismail Yassin is a professional impostor, impersonating the great artist, and perhaps the scene succeeded in absorbing Public anger, but it was not a reason to waive the anti-Ramadan communications.

Evaluation

The Media Observatory of the Addiction Treatment and Control Fund, one of the bodies that submitted an evaluation of the drama, revealed in its results during the first three weeks of Ramadan, that there were 725 scenes of smoking and drug abuse in dramas, with a total of approximately 15 hours of the time space for the works. Of them, 569 smoking scenes, with a total of nearly 11 hours, while the scenes of abuse amounted to 165, with a total of four hours, of 25 series during this year. The Observatory also indicated that the series "Kings of Al-Jadana", starring Mustafa Shaaban and Amr Saad, and "The One Who Doesn't Big" starring Yasmine Abdel Aziz, and "All with Love", starring Zina, recorded the highest smoking scenes. The series "Naguib Zahi Zarkash", starring Yahya Al-Fakharani, and "Against Fracture," starring Nelly Karim and Muhammad Farraj, and "All with Love" also came to occupy the highest percentage in scenes of abuse, and most of these scenes were for dealing with alcoholic substances in drama.

As for the works that were free of scenes of smoking and drug abuse in the Ramadan 2021 series, eight series were evaluated by the observatory, and they are: “The Choice 2”, starring Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Makki, and “Naseel Al-Ghurab” starring Ahmed El-Sakka and Amir Karara, and “All That "We separate" starring Reham Hajjaj, "Leave your mind from Zizi," starring Amina Khalil, "Fares Without a Passion" starring Mustafa Qamar, "Children of Nass" starring Rania Farid Shawqi, and "Between Al-Sama and Al-Ard" starring Hani Salama, and "Ahsan" Father »Ali Rabie 'starring.

A report against censorship

The problems of the Ramadan 2021 drama reached Egyptian censorship as well, as a lawyer issued a report against it, accusing it of failing to perform its work.

The communication was edited by lawyer Ayman Mahfouz, the attorney against censorship of artistic works because of the drama of Ramadan, especially the series: “Kings of Al-Jadana”, “Al-Tawoos”, “Who Melloush Kabir” and “Lahm Ghazal”.

Mahfouz said in the communication: “What we have reached is the responsibility of censoring works, whose role is to protect society by censoring artistic works, in accordance with the text of the Acts Censorship Law.”

The law stipulates that "those in charge of censoring artistic works are bound, taking into account that the work does not contain or imply anything that affects the religious, spiritual and moral values ​​of the community."
