After the extension of the state of emergency, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government said that it is necessary to thoroughly curb the flow of people for large-scale facilities such as department stores, which the government says will ease the request for shortening business hours instead of requesting closure. We have decided to continue requesting leave.

In extending the state of emergency in Tokyo until the 31st of this month, the government has relaxed measures for large-scale facilities such as department stores with a total floor area of more than 1000 square meters, which have requested closure. We will change the basic policy, including requesting a reduction in business hours by 8:00 pm.

Regarding this, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has decided to continue requesting closures to large-scale facilities such as department stores as a measure of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, saying that it is necessary to thoroughly curb the flow of people even during the extension period of the declaration.

In addition, for facilities with a total floor area of 1000 square meters or less, we are making adjustments to continue requesting the city to take leave, which is not based on the law.

The city wants to avoid the explosive spread of infection by continuing the in-depth measures, and the city will decide on the measures for the extension period of the declaration that incorporates these contents on the night of the 7th.
