Online dating meets "clothes care", and when you meet, you buy and buy

I met a young woman online, and I was very happy to meet each other offline.

Originally planning to eat and watch a movie, the other party only wanted to go shopping for clothes, ranging from a few hundred yuan to tens of thousands of yuan.

Recently, the Jianghan District Procuratorate in Wuhan City, Hubei Province filed a public prosecution. The court sentenced the defendant Pang and other 13 people to imprisonment ranging from three years to four months to one year and fined them for fraud.

It cost more than 20,000 to meet for the first time

In September 2018, 30-year-old Wang met a woman through a dating website.

At the beginning of adding friends, the two didn't communicate much, and they didn't get to know each other until June of the following year.

During the chat, the woman named herself Xiaoxue (a pseudonym), lives in Xiaogan, and works at Wanda Plaza in Lingjiao Lake, Wuhan, and runs a nail salon with her friends.

He also took the initiative to disclose that there is an older brother in the family, who is married, works in Shenzhen, and his parents are still alive.

Seeing that the sister "trusted" himself so much, Mr. Wang gradually became feelings for her.

In early December 2019, Mr. Wang suggested that the two meet in Wuhan, and the other party readily agreed.

After the meeting, Mr. Wang was very satisfied and hoped to have further contacts.

Later, Xiaoxue proposed to go shopping and took Mr. Wang to a clothing store called "Mirror".

After entering the store, the woman took a fancy to two coats, two bags, and a watch, and hinted that Mr. Wang would pay.

To please his "girlfriend", Mr. Wang generously paid 16,650 yuan.

In return, Xiaoxue bought a 600 yuan necklace in the store and put it on himself.

After leaving the store, Xiaoxue sent a set of cosmetics purchase links, saying that she had bad skin and needed maintenance.

Mr. Wang was responsive and paid another 4,600 yuan. The woman took the initiative to pay for the meal that night.

On the "date" the next day, Xiaoxue took her best friend with her, and the two girls bought rings and hats at the jewelry store for a total of 182 yuan for Mr. Wang.

On December 8th of the same year, Mr. Wang left Wuhan and returned to his home in Shiyan. After that, he couldn't contact his "girlfriend" for several days. It was then that he had been cheated.

An industrial chain with a clear division of labor

In fact, behind Mr. Wang’s online dating is an industry chain with a clear division of labor: "Boss" Liao is the leader of the "Yituo" fraud gang and the owner of the "Mirror" clothing store, a designated place for offline consumption; "Keyboard Player" Liu, Zhang, Guo, etc. are responsible for pretending to be a 25-year-old girl, chatting with male netizens on online dating and dating software and pretending to be in love. When the time is right to meet, they will post the date, location, male information and historical chat records. Back; "Passer" Zou is responsible for sending the message returned by "keyboard player" to the boss or assigning it to "girls"; "girls" Hu, Yu, and Liu pretend to be online chat partners to go on a date. The man took it to the "Mirror" clothing store for consumption, and then returned the clothes he bought.

Therefore, the person who chatted with Mr. Wang online for nearly a year was actually the "caller" Zou, and the last person I met was the "girl" Yu.

When receiving the order, Yu only knew about Mr. Wang's age, work, phone number, and address.

Mr. Wang’s experience is not alone.

After investigation, from September to December 2019, Liao organized Zou and others to use online dating software to pretend to be women to make friends and chat with the victim, and defrauded 15 victims by directly asking for red envelopes, borrowing money, or shopping in clothing stores. The property totals more than 136,000 yuan.

  "Yituo" fraud gangs all arrested

Since August 2019, the public security organs have received reports from multiple victims.

After investigation, the police found that this was a crime committed by a gang that used "clothes support" tactics to defraud, involving a large number of people.

On December 12 of the same year, all the suspects were arrested.

In July 2020, 13 people including Liao Mou were transferred to the Jianghan District Procuratorate of Wuhan for review and prosecution.

In the process of case review, the prosecutor in charge focused on the victim, made a thread map by comparing verbal evidence and sorting out the physical evidence, checking and verifying the persons involved in each crime fact, and successfully locked in the amount of money involved in each gang member.

"This is a scam group with a clear division of labor and superb acting skills." According to the prosecutor, Liao officially opened a store in September 2019, and the merchandise sold generally ranges from a few hundred to a thousand yuan.

If an ordinary customer enters the store, the clerk will sell it at a discount on the tag price, while the price for customers brought by "girls" is relatively high.

At the beginning of the shop, Liao announced this unusual "business model" to friends Liu, Zhang and others, asking them to find a way to ask men to come to the shop for consumption online, and their salary was 40% of the consumption amount.

The "girl" was introduced by a friend of Liao, responsible for offline cooperation, and the salary was 20% commissioned according to the consumption amount.

Seeing the profit, Liu and others began to build a "computer room", recruit staff, and worked out a complete set of "words".

New "keyboard players" will receive 1 to 2 days of training before entering the job, and then start searching the beauty photos on the Internet by themselves, fictitious women's names to register accounts on matchmaking websites that do not require real-name authentication, and then target men in the same city or province Take the initiative.

According to the "keyboard player" Yang confessed, in order to achieve the purpose of meeting and consumption, they generally create a good image of women, and take the initiative to chat in the direction of marriage and take the opportunity to meet.

In September 2020, the Jianghan District Procuratorate prosecuted this case.

After the trial, the court recently sentenced the defendant Liao to three years and four months in prison for fraud and a fine of 8,000 yuan; the remaining 12 gang members were sentenced to penalties.

During the trial of the case, 9 people including Liao Mou withdrew the stolen money totaling more than 136,000 yuan, and all of them have been returned to the victim.
