On Wednesday 5 May, it was revealed that a former reporter at Swedish Radio's Ekotredaktion who examined cases with a well-known Islamist also had a private relationship with him.

According to the reporter himself, they had no relationship while the reporting was going on.

The former reporter's articles remain on Swedish Radio's website but have now been supplemented with:

"Ekot has been criticized for parts of the reporting on this topic and the circumstances surrounding a former employee."

"Many are sad"

Since the revelation, there has been concern in the editorial office, according to the union.

- We have had a number of editorial meetings where the floor has been free and questions have been asked, says Pablo Dalence, host and vice chairman of the Journalists' Club on Swedish radio.

- There are concerns and many are sad.

It nurtures confidence in us as a newsroom, it nurtures confidence in public service and all journalism.

We know what prestige it means to work at a large and important newsroom, he says.
