The leading agricultural producer in the European Union ahead of Germany and Italy, France must take over.

Almost half of its 400,000 farmers are of retirement age.

But only 2 out of 3 farms are taken over, usually by a neighboring farmer who wants to expand.

However, there is a way to encourage young people to settle down, because there is no lack of wills.

Example in Ardèche, in central southern France.
