Since the middle of last month at the Long-Term Care Health Facility in Kobe City, 123 residents have been infected with the new coronavirus and 13 have died, according to interviews with related parties.

According to the people in Kobe, the outbreak occurred at the Long-Term Care Health Facility in Nagata Ward.

At this facility, people infected with the new coronavirus were confirmed on the 14th of last month, and 123 people including residents and staff were confirmed to be infected by the 6th.

Of these, 13 died of worsening symptoms.

Assuming that a cluster has occurred, Kobe City is investigating the infection route and dispatching a team of doctors and nurses to the facility to administer medication to patients and inhale oxygen.

According to the people concerned, many infected people could not be hospitalized due to the tight medical care system in the city, and they were waiting and receiving medical treatment in the facility.

On the other hand, Kobe City has not announced this outbreak on the 6th, which is more than 20 days after the first confirmed infected person.

Regarding this, Kobe City said, "The number of infected people in the facility has increased rapidly, and it was not possible to accurately grasp the number of people. I would like to announce it in the near future."
