The situation seems to be improving although the figures are still high.

According to the latest report communicated on Tuesday by the Hospices Civiles de Lyon, the number of hospitalizations, linked to the coronavirus epidemic, in the department between Rhône and Saône is down compared to last week.

On Monday, 1,057 people were hospitalized in the Rhône and North Isère against 1,139 the previous week.

Among which 462 within HCL establishments, or 33 fewer patients than the week before.

The situation is similar to that experienced by the department at the beginning of December.

A still palpable tension in sheaves

The decline observed is also confirmed in intensive care units, where admissions were on the rise last week.

The tension is still very palpable.

The 244 beds today "armed" to face the wave of coronavirus, are currently occupied at 89.8% (against 94% last week), including 56% of patients with Covid + (61% there are seven days).

Another declining indicator: the number of infected people, which is back below the 10% mark.
