France took an important first step on Monday in its deconfinement strategy.

A health pass has thus entered into force in order to have one more weapon to fight against the spread of the coronavirus.

However, as the daily

Les Echos

notes,

this is for the moment only a draft "with a vaccination certificate in paper format only, and a document which is not yet authentic in the rest of Europe".

Since Monday, Health Insurance has been handing over to people being vaccinated against Covid-19 this "vaccination certificate".

On this official document are written two codes that can be scanned with a mobile phone: a Datamatrix and a QR Code.

The first is an authentication code used by the French administration to certify its documents.

The second allows you to keep your digital certificate in the TousAntiCovid application.

A certificate soon valid in Europe

The Health Insurance explains that this process "allows to have a unique and official authentication of the test and vaccination certificates, which will be recognized by the Government, the competent authorities".

But the organization thinks above all about future international travel, because this authentication will be recognized "in a second step by the countries of the European Union and the countries abroad when crossing borders".

If for the moment, the vaccination certificate can be downloaded by the health professional from the Covid Vaccine teleservice, the procedure will evolve from the second half of May.

Future patients, as well as those vaccinated before May 3, will then be able to download their certified vaccination certificate themselves.

Health insurance notes, however, that "in addition, the vaccination certificate will obviously remain available to the patient in paper format when it is delivered directly by the health professional during a vaccination stage".

For those who do not wish to go digital, the organization can also send the certificate by post.
