The autonomous communities have notified the Ministry of Health this Monday 16,353 new cases of Covid-19 during the weekend,
1,812 of them diagnosed in the last 24 hours
.
These figures are lower than those of the same day last week, when 19,582 positives were reported.
The cumulative incidence stands at
223.75 cases in 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants
, slightly lower than that of Friday, but remains stagnant at around 220, in addition to being underestimated after the weekend.
Hospital pressure has risen slightly and is on the verge of the
maximum alert level in ICUs, with 23.15%
of intensive care beds dedicated to Covid.
The maximum level of risk (25%) is already exceeded by seven autonomous communities: Madrid (44.70%), La Rioja (41.51%), Basque Country (38.83%), Catalonia (35.84%), Aragon (28.26%), Navarra (26.28%) and Castilla y León (25.42%), in addition to the two autonomous cities.
The total number of infections in Spain already rises to
3,540,430 since the start of the pandemic
, according to official statistics.
In this Monday's report, 77 new deaths were added, compared with 147 last Monday.
Up to 78,293 people with a positive diagnostic test have died since the virus arrived in Spain, according to data collected by the Ministry.
