The birth of the second largest child in Britain

A British woman has given birth to a baby girl weighing 13 pounds (6 kg), making it the second largest baby in the United Kingdom.

The British newspaper "Daily Mail" reported that Amber Cumberland (21 years old), who lives in Oxfordshire, in the southeast of England, gave birth to her daughter Emilia on April 16, after doctors initially thought that she was pregnant with twins due to the large size of her stomach. .

Emilia is believed to be the second oldest baby born in the United Kingdom, after another baby born in 2012 who weighed 14 pounds 4 ounces (6.5 kilograms).

Amber went into labor for 24 hours, and eventually the doctors had to perform a cesarean delivery for her.

"Doctors thought I was pregnant with a twin even though we could only see one fetus through ultrasound," Amber said.

But they expected that there is a fetus hiding behind Emilia ».

She added, "Whenever I went out of the house during pregnancy, everyone looked at me with astonishment because of the huge size of my stomach, and my husband and I always laughed at these looks."

"We are now very happy that Emilia is in good health," she added.

However, Amber indicated that all the clothes that she and her husband bought for Emilia were too young for her and that they had to buy other clothes and diapers for older ages.
