Activist Andrei Borovikov, who has worked for the imprisoned Russian regime critic Alexei Navalny, has been accused since September 2020 of producing and distributing "pornography" and risks a three-year prison sentence.

Amnesty International points out that this is not the first time that the Russian regime has used accusations of pornography as an excuse to "lock in its critics".

"The indictment against Andrei Borovikov is completely absurd. It is very clear that he is punished only for his activism, not his taste in music ", says Natalija Zvjagina, head of Amnesty International in Moscow, in a comment.
