  From May 1st to 2nd, the weather in most of the central and eastern part was fine.

The weather is sunny to cloudy in most parts of North China, Northeast China, Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jianghan, Jiangnan, and central and eastern South China. The temperature is relatively high in southwest Huanghuai, western Jianghuai, and central Jiangnan, with daily maximum temperatures of 30-34°C.

However, before the holiday (April 29-30), parts of the eastern part of Huanghuai, Jianghuai and other places had thunderstorms from afternoon to evening, and the local area was accompanied by strong convective weather such as thunderstorms and hail.

  From May 3rd to 4th, there was a process of strong wind and sandy dust in the north.

Affected by the cold air, it is expected that from May 3 to 4, northerly winds of magnitude 4 to 6 and gusts of magnitude 7 to 8 will occur in most areas north of the Yangtze River; the temperature will drop by 4 to 6°C. Among them, the central and western parts of Inner Mongolia and Shanxi Cooling by 8~10℃; northern Qinghai, western Gansu, Ningxia, central and northern Shaanxi, central and western Inner Mongolia, and northern North China have blowing sand or floating dust, and there are local sandstorms in central and western Inner Mongolia.

  From the 3rd to the 4th, there was a strong thunderstorm in the southern region from north to south.

It is expected that from the 3rd to the 4th, there will be a large-scale thunderstorm in the Huanghuai and southern regions. There will be heavy to heavy rains in Jianghan, Jianghuai, Jiangnan, central and northern South China, and the eastern part of southwestern China. Strong convective weather such as heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, gales, or hail; the accumulated rainfall in the southern part of Huanghuai and most of the south is 30-60 mm, and some areas in eastern Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, southern Zhejiang, western Fujian, and northern Guangxi have 80~120mm.

In addition, there was sleet in northeastern Inner Mongolia and northwest of Heilongjiang, and light to moderate rain in central and eastern Jilin and central and eastern Liaoning.

  Forests and grasslands in southwestern Sichuan, northwestern Yunnan, northern China, and northeastern regions have higher fire risk levels.

It is expected that during the "May 1st" period, the forest fire risk level in southwestern Sichuan and northwestern Yunnan will be high; in northern Beijing, northern and western Hebei, eastern Shanxi, eastern Inner Mongolia, northern Heilongjiang, eastern Jilin, eastern Liaoning, and southwestern China. The forest fire risk level is higher in some areas; the grassland fire risk level is higher in parts of eastern Inner Mongolia and western Sichuan.

From the 3rd to the 4th, affected by precipitation, the forest fire risk level in northern Heilongjiang, eastern Jilin, and eastern Liaoning will be reduced.

  Wang Zhihua stated that the Meteorological Department has organized a special meeting to arrange and deploy weather monitoring and early warning services during the May 1st holiday. It will strengthen watchkeeping, strengthen emergency linkage with relevant departments, and roll out weather research and judgment and forecast and early warning services. It is recommended that during the "May 1st" holiday, attention should be paid to the adverse effects of high-impact weather on May 3 to 4 on public travel. On the other hand, southwestern Sichuan, northwestern Yunnan, eastern Inner Mongolia, northern China, and northeastern regions need to be paid attention to.
