Biontech is requesting a license to use its Corona vaccine for children from the age of 12 years

 Today, Thursday, the German company "Biontech" vaccine manufacturer announced that it will request a license to use its vaccine against "Covid-19" for children from the age of 12 in the European Union.

A company spokesman said it is likely that the application will be submitted "within the next few days" to the European Medicines Agency.

Meanwhile, the news magazine Der Spiegel reported that the application will be submitted next Wednesday.

For his part, the head of the "Biontech" company, Yogur Sahin, said: "We have submitted the data of the study for those between the ages of 12 and 15 years, for approval in the United States; but in Europe we are in the last steps," according to what "Der Spiegel" reported. .

The approval process at the European Medicines Agency usually takes only a few weeks.
