Tianjin Haihe Italian Style District was built in 1902 and has a history of 119 years. There are more than 100 Italian style buildings in the area. It is the only well-preserved Italian style building community outside of Italy and Asia.
Historically, a number of celebrities from the military, political, and cultural circles lived and performed here, such as the former residence of the famous modernist thinker and scholar Liang Qichao and his study and ice room, and the young drama master Cao Yu, known as "Chinese Shakespeare". After the "May Day", the Italian Wind District will continue the activity and hold a variety of theme activity weeks in the block, such as drama and culture festival, wedding photography festival, late spring flower art festival, and trendy music festival. At the same time, it plans to hold the first Haihe International Consumerism in the Italian Wind District Festival and the 2nd Tianjin Nightlife Festival, and the 8th Tianjin International Design Week and other important events.
