Contrary to what its name might suggest, Tryo is not a trio.

Well, that was before.

In a message posted this Wednesday April 28 on Facebook, the quartet announced that Manu Eveno had expressed his desire "to change his lifestyle, to live other experiences, to explore new horizons.

In other words, to leave Tryo.

“We can understand that after so many years of traveling, concerts, time and energy spent, one of us would end up wanting to experience something else: this time has come…”, is- it stated in the press release.

This announcement sounds like a surprise for the fans of Tryo, a group founded by Manu Eveno, Guizmo and Christophe Mali in 1995. A year later, the percussionist Daniel Bravo joined them.

A departure of "indefinite duration"

This departure does not however sign the separation of the music group which is teeming with projects.

From this Thursday, an unreleased track will be available on streaming and download platforms, the first single from a new album to be released by the end of this year.

Tryo also explains that he is in the process of preparing for an upcoming show and wishes to clarify: “Of course, Manu will be with us at Bercy in February 2022 to (finally!) Celebrate the group's 25th anniversary.

"

In a video message, Manu Eveno explained leaving “the adventure for an indefinite period, you must never say never.

”His voice and his fingering will also be perceptible in the new album of the group since he participated as guitarist and backing vocalist.
