Britney Spears will finally be able to express herself in court about her guardianship.

Since 2008, when his affairs were taken over by his father, the star has only very rarely been able to discuss the conditions of this guardianship.

But during a hearing on Tuesday, counsel for the

insisted her client wanted to speak directly to the court, without indicating what topic she wanted to address.

“My client has requested a hearing where she can go directly to court.

My client has requested that this be done on an expedited basis, ”Samuel Ingham said, according to the

Britney soon released?

The judge in charge of the case has authorized the star's request and Britney Spears will therefore be able to apply to the court on June 23.

This audience is likely to be eagerly awaited by the fans of the star, who for several years launched the #FreeBritney movement asking that she be released from her tutelage.

As at every hearing, supporters of this movement had gathered in court, their fervor rekindled by the documentary

Framing Britney Spears

, which returned in detail to the complicated situation of the popstar.

Last year, the singer's lawyers announced that she was "afraid of her father", and that she refused to return to work as long as he remained in charge of his business.

Last August, Samuel Ingham filed a motion to remove all authority over Britney Spears' affairs from Jamie, her father.

The request, refused at the time, was reiterated again on Tuesday.

Without explaining why, the judge adjourned this request until next July.
