In March 1929, the Fourth Red Army entered the west of Fujian from southern Jiangxi and stationed in Changting County. Through fundraising by local tyrants, 4,000 sets of military uniforms were produced. The uniforms of the Fourth Red Army were unified for the first time, and the troops looked completely new.
