Mie Prefecture announced that two elderly people infected with the new coronavirus have died on the 26th.
A total of 79 infected people died in Mie Prefecture.
It was also announced that 44 new cases were confirmed.
A total of 3602 people have been confirmed to be infected in Mie Prefecture.
