North Rhine-Westphalia's Integration State Secretary Serap Güler calls for increased vaccination in residential areas with a high proportion of people with a migration background.

"Many migrants still live in socially precarious conditions," said the CDU politician to the broadcasters RTL and ntv.

"More vaccines in migrant neighborhoods is a good idea."

Many migrants have jobs that do not allow them to work from home. Service, cleaning and care professions are widespread. Immigrants also use public transport more often, and there are also cramped living conditions - which is why the risk of infection is significantly greater. "Going into these social rooms and saying that we have to vaccinate more heavily here is the right approach," said Güler.

In the dispute over the Corona emergency brake, the FDP wants to bring down the curfew and the contact restrictions on a person outside the household with its complaint before the Federal Constitutional Court.

"The night curfews and general contact restrictions decided by the Union and the SPD are unsuitable measures to combat pandemics," said Deputy FDP parliamentary group leader Stephan Thomae of the newspaper "Augsburger Allgemeine".

Both measures are ineffective and contradictory.
