Ronnie Wood has revealed he spent the first lockdown in England last year fully recovering ... from his second cancer.

The Rolling Stones guitarist, who had already recovered from lung cancer in 2017, told The

Sun

that he again triumphed over a similar illness.

“I have had cancer two different ways now.

I had lung cancer in 2017 and more recently I had a small cell carcinoma that I fought during the last confinement… I got out with the green light, ”he explained. .

Small cell carcinoma is an even more aggressive form of lung cancer, but that obviously didn't stop the musician from coming out of it without too many side effects, as he managed to work on a new solo album. and devoted himself to his second passion, painting.

“To express myself and lose myself a bit,” he said.

Superior power

At 73, Ronnie Wood does not seem to worry too much about his health, he who had two daughters with his third wife, Sally, in 2016. “It's true that I'm going through a lot of problems at the moment, but throughout my recovery I decided to let go. And when you hand over the result to your higher power, it's a magical thing… What has to happen will happen, it has nothing to do with me. All I can do is stay positive and be strong and fight, and the rest depends on that higher power, ”he added in his interview.

The Rolling Stones are also in the process of recording an album with new tracks, their first since

A Bigger Bang

, released in 2005. Again, we will probably have to wait for a "higher power" (named Mick Jagger ?) decides to give information to know a little more ...
