On April 25, Wu Chaojian, who had been away from home for 35 years, returned to his home in Qianyuhuan Village, Jinshan Town, Luojiang District, Deyang City, Sichuan Province.
Wu Chaojian still remembered that he was a 10-year-old boy when he left home last time, and was a 45-year-old middle-aged man when he returned home.
In 1986, 10-year-old Wu Chaojian went home from school. He met a stranger and needed to give directions. Somehow, Wu Chaojian was lost.
Upon learning that their son was missing, Wu Qiwan and Shen Xinggui mobilized relatives and friends to look around, but found nothing.
Years of searching, hope and disappointment are intertwined with each other. Just when Wu Qiwan and Shen Xinggui were frustrated, a call from the Luojiang District Public Security Bureau made the family boil: "The child has been found!"
On April 25, Wu Qiwan, Shen Xinggui, and Wu Chaojian's brother and sister arrived at the Luojiang District Public Security Bureau early to wait for Wu Chaojian who was about to return home.
The family who was still sitting quietly on the sofa saw Wu Chaojian coming out from behind the door, tears burst into tears, and quickly stepped forward to hug Wu Chaojian, who had been away from home for 35 years.
Afterwards, Wu Qiwan and Shen Xinggui held their son Wu Chaojian's hand tightly and took him home to have a reunion dinner and take a family portrait.
