Xingguo County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province is a famous general county in my country.
During the Soviet period, 93,000 of the county’s population of 230,000 participated in the military, and more than 50,000 people died for the country. It gave birth to 56 founding generals of the Republic, including Xiao Hua, and more than 100 provincial military-level cadres.
Xingguo County has beautiful mountains and rivers and rich products. However, due to the mountainous and hilly areas, it has long faced the problem of inconvenient transportation.
In order to help the people in the old areas get rid of poverty and become rich, and plug the wings for the development of Xingguo, whether it is the Beijing-Kowloon Railway opened in 1996 or the Changgan High-speed Railway opened in 2019, in order to be able to set up stations through Xingguo, when designing routes, A detour of nearly 90° was taken and Xingguo County, which had made great sacrifices to the revolution, was included in the territory of China's normal-speed and high-speed railways.
People also call the "Xingguo Bend" the arc drawn by the two railways bypassing Xingguo.
The content of the sand painting reflects not only the construction history of "Xingguo Bend", but also the history of the economic take-off of Xingguo.
In particular, the Changjiang-Jiangxi high-speed railway connects the urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the urban agglomerations around Poyang Lake, the old revolutionary base in Jinggangshan, and southern Jiangxi. The unique regional positioning gives it a special mission.
