He also won fans for his personable demeanor

But, he was unceremoniously fired as the brand's creative director in October 2015, reportedly following a tough confrontation with Lanvin's majority shareholder, Chinese billionaire

Shaw-Lan Wang.

After some collaborations with colleagues, in 2019 he was hired by the Swiss-based luxury group Richemont.
