Yang Wuneng is the translator of the first full translation of "The Grimm's Fairy Tales" after the founding of New China. He is a German translator, Goethe scholar and writer. He was awarded the German "National Meritorious Medal" by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany and the world's highest honor in the field of Goethe research. "Goethe Gold Medal".

At the age of 80, Yang Wuneng won the highest award in China's translation industry-the Lifetime Achievement Award in Translation Culture.

"Cinderella", "The Frog Prince", "Snow White" and other fairy tales from "The Grimm's Fairy Tales" have grown up with generations of young people in China.

Today, his retirement life is still busy, daily reading, translation reprints, translation selections... He told reporters that he has dealt with "books" all his life, and advancing with the times to help cultural communication is his lifelong pursuit.
