Following the state of emergency, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has decided to postpone the torch display of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic torch relay scheduled during the period.

The exhibition was postponed during the declaration from January and just resumed this month.

Since November of last year, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been exhibiting torch relay torches in various parts of Tokyo in order to boost the momentum for the Tokyo Games.



However, following the state of emergency from the 25th to the 11th of next month, the city decided to postpone the planned traveling exhibitions in the six municipalities during the period.

The postponement was decided for the exhibitions planned in Itabashi Ward, Kodaira City, Kita Ward, Higashiyamato City, Adachi Ward, and Higashimurayama City.



Regarding the torch traveling exhibition, the exhibition was postponed even when the state of emergency was declared from January to March, and the exhibition was just reopened on the 3rd of this month for the first time in about 3 months. ..



The city wants to set a new date for the postponed exhibition while looking at the future infection situation.
