Sparkling water with style

It was only a matter of time before the aesthetics of the practical soda maker would also hit the collar.

In any case, one wonders how countless households have been able to live for decades with unsightly plastic pillars in their kitchens, which may still be speckled with sauce.

But there is a remedy from design-conscious Scandinavia.

The minimalist Carbonator from Aarke works with all common CO2 cylinders, resembles a chic espresso machine and is now also available in beige.

Painting course for more self-love

Wait a minute, why are only naked women and no men available as models in the new digital painting course “Naked Education”?

Because you should finally draw breasts and vulva as they really look.

This is the reason for the labels "The Female Company" and "The Floox", which offer the course and thus want to fight against unrealistic, female ideals.

A 50-minute course is available from 65 euros, including a Faber-Castell painting set.

Treading water in the museum

Olafur Eliasson flooded the Fondation Beyeler.

As if the pond outside in the park had flooded the museum in Riehen near Basel - with frog-green colored water in which water lilies swim.

"Life" is the title of the exhibition by the Danish-Icelandic artist, in which the interior and exterior space actually flow into one another.

If you book a ticket for 9 p.m., you can stroll through the walkways through the installation all night and look at the fluorescent green.

"Sorry, you have a parrot on your sunglasses." You will probably have to listen to similar comments when you put these sunglasses on for the next digital conference.

The meeting now feels like a sundowner on the terrace of the Gritti Palace in Venice.

Attention: The Architecture Biennale starts on May 21st.

In addition to the parrot, Dolce & Gabbana also has snake embossing, rhinestones, leopard patterns and zebra stripes on offer.

Sculptures for the feet

What do you get if you could merge a sculpture by Jeff Koons, surreal elements by Salvador Dali and a plastic Barbie shoe?

The “Kobarah” sandals from Camper, which in 2016 became a surprise hit on the Instagram scene.

From May, three summer colors will again be available.

A revival in the truest sense of the word, because the new collection is made of recycled plastic, including first-generation shoes.
