The story of how Joe Labero as a 12-year-old got a magic box and became engrossed has been told many times.

In the cultural program Sweden!

he looks back on how a couple of years later, as a teenager, he took the stage for the first time.

The whole school was an audience and a trick was to make a bullet float and then disappear.

- Somehow I drop the ball and it bounces off on the floor.

I did not know what to do.

It was awful, everyone was laughing.

"Ended up in that compartment"

An upset Joe Labero, or Bengt Johansson who is his given name, then said that he would never conjure again.

Today, he has 37 years of magic on stage behind him and has made himself known for lavish shows with pyrotechnics and dancers.

Something he himself thinks has not always been his wish.

- Somehow I have ended up in that union.

When I came to Vegas in 2017, I really wanted to do my little show.

But the casino said “give us spectacle”.

You have to listen to the customer and it became a hell of a show, says Joe Labero.

Premiere this fall

The new show in Stockholm is expected to premiere this autumn.

And here at home, it will be something different than in Las Vegas.

- It will be a more intimate performance, says Joe Labero.
