Kochi City began accepting reservations for the new coronavirus vaccination for the elderly on the 23rd, but stopped accepting reservations because the system remained unstable.

Kochi City has started accepting vaccination reservations for the elderly aged 65 and over from 9 am on the 23rd via the Internet, telephone, and the special venue of the city hall.

However, the internet reservation system became difficult to access immediately after the start, and after that, it was resolved once, but the city made a reservation on the internet at 2:30 pm on the 23rd, saying that the situation is still unstable. Has stopped accepting.

We are currently not accepting all calls, including telephones and contact points.

Regarding the cause of the system malfunction, the city believes that the system's functions have deteriorated due to an unexpected application.

Regarding the resumption of acceptance, the city is aiming for telephone calls on the 26th of this month and the Internet on the 27th of this month.

On the other hand, at the counter, we will distribute numbered tickets up to about 800 people per day, and if the number of people exceeds the number, we will distribute tickets the next day or later, and we will take the same measures after the 26th of this month.

The city will continue to add schedules that can be booked while monitoring the availability of vaccines.

Masataka Ohno, director of the Kochi City Health and Welfare Department, said, "We apologize for the inconvenience caused on the first day. In the future, we would like to strengthen the system and the contact system."
