The "Tiezhi" exercise is conducted in two parts. The first part simulates the discovery of a suspicious object in the airport passenger terminal; the second part simulates a terrorist organization beating a passerby, taking hostages and attempting a bomb attack in the passenger terminal.
About 200 Hong Kong police officers participated in the "Tie Zhi" exercise on the same day, including members of the task force of the Customs, Correctional Services Department, Fire Department, Flight Service and Immigration Department.
