On April 22, the 2021 Tieguanyin Spring Tea Opening Ceremony was held in Xiping Town, Anxi, the birthplace of Tieguanyin in Anxi County, Quanzhou, Fujian.

The non-genetic inheritor Wei Yuede led 13 Chinese tea masters and Anxi master Tieguanyin to respect tea ancestors and pray for tea blessings.

  With the sound of the bronze gong, 13 masters including Wei Yuede shouted "open tea", and the 2021 Anxi Tieguanyin spring tea picking kicked off.

On the lush tea mountain, tea girls in uniform dress picking buds among the tea trees, attracting many Chinese and foreign tourists to watch.

  Tieguanyin tea was invented by tea farmers in Anxi, Fujian between 1725-1735.

Originated in the foothills of Yaoyang Mountain, Xiping Town, Anxi County.

It belongs to the oolong tea category and is one of the top ten famous teas in China and the representative of the oolong tea category.

In 2008, the traditional craftsmanship of oolong tea (Tieguanyin) was identified as a national intangible cultural heritage.
